is the iomega ego 500gb portable hard drive reliable for long use?
I'm thinking of buying this portable hard drive with the intent of putting all my music collection and use it as multimedia box. For example, play music on my computer directly from the ego portable, and/or play music with a multimedia receiver. I will always tend to use it for long periods of time through the day. if anyone here has experience with this portable hard drive please let me know if it gets too warm, etc., thanks
Iomega makes some of the best drivers in the world. They have been around for a long time. I have an Iomega zip drive that is ten years old and it still works great (not that I use it very often). Another great one is Buffalo.
